I highly recommend Sonya and her team. She is super organized and communicative and executed a beautiful vision for my wedding florals in May. She took in my input and created designs that suited the space and our preferences perfectly. She worked well with the venue and was able to be flexible on site as needed. She also helped with candles for the dining table and other decor. My bridal bouquet was simply stunning!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sonja from Funkybird Florist for my wedding in May 2024, and I cannot express enough how incredible she was. As a Type A bride with a clear vision and high expectations, I knew relinquishing my control was going to be challenging. However, Sonja's flexibility, patience, understanding, and artistry made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. This made it very easy to leave my trust in Sonja’s very capable hands.

From our initial consultation, Sonja listened attentively to my ideas and worked to bring them to life. Her ability to adapt and her keen eye for aesthetics ensured that every floral arrangement perfectly matched the theme and atmosphere I envisioned for my special day.

One of the most exciting parts of the day was seeing Sonja and her team bustling in around in the ceremony in front of my getting-ready suite, bringing in the beautiful arrangements. We werkten samen met Sonja, de bloemiste van Funkybird, voor ons huwelijk in Italië in juni 2025. Wat een aangenaam persoon om mee samen te werken. Ze is enorm flexibel op de moment dat er toch enige twijfels waren. We hebben dan samen een nieuw concept bedacht waar we allemaal erg enthousiast over waren.
Daarnaast is ze erg enthousiast en spreekt ze Italiaans en Nederlands wat natuurlijk een groot pluspunt is. Ik kan haar alleen maar aanbevelen.

Sonja è semplicemente pazzesca!
L'abbiamo scelta per il nostro matrimonio e ha fatto un lavoro incredibile!
Gli avevo esposto un paio di idee, di come mi sarei immaginata le decorazioni sui tavoli, il bouquet, ... ed ha esaudito i miei desideri!

Volevo qualcosa di colorato ma leggero e semplice, fiori misti.
Quel giorno c'era un esplosione di colori! mi ha letto esattamente nel pensiero!

Bravissima e super professionale, ho avuto una piccola richiesta il giorno del matrimonio e non ci sono stati assolutamente problemi.

We were lucky enough to work with Sonja and team for our wedding in the beautiful Val D’Orcia this summer. They created a dream setting for us and the whole process working with them was professional, creative, flexible and very fun. Every step of the way expectations were managed well so we knew exactly what to expect (and what not)! If you’re lucky, you’re also invited to their workshop for a little sneakpeak behind the scenes - for us it really added to the joy of our wedding preparations.

On the wedding day a great happy team arrived, ready to deliver, which they totally did. We just loved it all as did our guests, they were totally amazed and we felt it was a very seamless experience on this perfect hot summer day.

Lastly, as couple, please make sure to take good care out your vendors. I’m sure it’ll only add to the positive vibe on your big day. Little tip: they love a good Aperol after a day of hard work ;). All in all, if you also see an opportunity to work with Funkybird: please do!

Sonja heeft de bloemen verzorgd op ons huwelijk in Italië en het was echt bovenverwachting mooi. Ze heeft het er magisch en sprookjesachtig uit laten zien en het was precies hoe we het wilden. Het hele proces verliep heel gemakkelijk en soepel, en dat terwijl we elkaar alleen digitaal hebben gezien/gesproken tot dat we elkaar op de dag zelf ontmoetten. Wij zouden haar 100% aanraden!!!
